Utopia Bedding Quilted Fitted Mattress Pad (California King)
The Utopia Bedding quilted mattress pad for California King measures 72 by 84 inches and fits mattresses up to 16 inches deep. It provides a soft, lofted top layer with fiberfill for additional cushion and comfort. The pad uses an elastic all-around edge to secure a snug fit, helping prevent shifting during sleep. It is machine washable for easy care, though it is not waterproof, so consider a separate cover if spills are a concern.
EASELAND California King Mattress Pad Pillow Top
The EASELAND pad is a California King size 72×84 inch cover with a deep 21-inch pocket. It uses 62 oz elastic and hollow down-alternative microfiber to deliver plush softness. The 300-thread-count cotton surface is skin-friendly and breathable, helping manage heat and sweat. The cover is designed for easy installation with a snug fit on thicker mattresses, and the down-alternative filling provides a cushioned sleeping surface without sacrificing support.
Ultra Soft California King Mattress Topper
The Niagara Sleep Solution mattress topper uses bamboo-derived viscose for a soft, cool surface on a California King bed. It fits mattresses 8-20 inches deep and measures 72×84 inches. The topper is cloud-like and designed to ease back discomfort with added cushion. It features deep pockets and extra-length sides for a secure fit, and it is machine-washable. After unpacking, a brief shake and air-out helps restore loft before use.
UNILIBRA Cal King Mattress Cover Waterproof
The UNILIBRA waterproof mattress pad provides a 100% water-resistant TPU membrane to protect California King mattresses from urine, perspiration, and spills. The construction uses a 100% polyester microfiber surface, with polyester wadding and nonwoven cloth layers, and a TPU bottom. OEKO-TEX certified materials ensure safety. This pad is designed to fit 6-21 inch deep mattresses and offers reliable, all-around protection for sensitive sleepers or households with pets and children.
BEDLORE Waterproof Mattress Protector
The BEDLORE mattress protector combines a classic quilted design with a fully waterproof TPU layer to prevent liquids from reaching the mattress. It features a noiseless fabric for quiet sleep and a soft feel, while the deep pocket accommodates mattresses in the 6-18 inch range. This protector offers a balance of protection, comfort, and ease of care, making it suitable for bedrooms, guest rooms, and hotel-like settings.
Buying Guide: Key Purchase Considerations
When selecting a California King mattress pad or protector, consider fit, depth, and material. A deeper pocket (up to 21 inches) helps accommodate thicker mattresses and toppers, reducing shifting. Waterproof or water-resistant options protect against spills and accidents, but check for breathability to avoid heat buildup. Look for machine-washable fabrics and OEKO-TEX or similar safety certifications for safe materials. For hot sleepers, bamboo viscose or down-alternative fills offer cooling and softness without sacrificing support. Finally, assess care needs and maintenance to keep the pad or protector performing well over time.
Fit and comfort perspectives vary: a quilted, plush top enhances sleeping softness; a pillow-top or down-alternative fill can add cushion without altering mattress feel; a waterproof option prioritizes protection and hygiene. For households with children or pets, waterproof designs and robust edge stay features are advantageous. In contrast, for minimalist sleepers, a thin, breathable protector may be sufficient. Compare the five products above for trade-offs among softness, temperature control, and spill protection to determine the best fit for your California King bed.
